A Reliable Choice
We specialize in vehicle title-secured loans. Unlike traditional loans that rely on credit history, approval is based on your car’s value and ability to repay. This makes our loans a practical option for borrowers with bad credit.
Loan amounts from $100 to $50,000 based on vehicle equity and income
Loan terms from 12 to 36 months depending on state regulations
APR up to 150%, capped under state lending laws
Origination fees up to 10% of the total loan amount
No prepayment penalties, giving flexibility to save on interest
2007 – The Beginning
We started in 2007 with one goal: to give people a fair way to access money in emergencies.
By keeping the process simple and transparent, we expanded quickly across California.
Our loans are made pursuant to the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI), Lender License No. 603F508.
First Office – North Hollywood, CA
Our very first office opened in North Hollywood, CA where we helped local residents get fast access to cash. From this modest start, Montana Capital Car Title Loans® grew into a trusted name.
2018 – Expanding Nationwide
In 2018, we began extending our services across the U.S.
Today, we provide title loans and personal loan options for people with less-than-perfect credit, supported by trusted lending partners nationwide.
2025 and Beyond
We now provide loan opportunities 24/7 and have helped more than 375,000 people cover urgent expenses. Since 2007, we’ve continued to innovate and expand services to meet customer needs. Focused on what matters most: our customers.

Our Values
What Drives Us
At Montana Capital®, we keep things simple! These values guide every loan we approve and every customer we serve:
Apply NowHonesty
Clear terms and no hidden fees. The Truth in Lending Act (TILA) requires lenders to disclose loan terms in a transparent way so people can make informed decisions.
We follow these standards closely, making sure our contracts are easy to understand. Customers know exactly what they are agreeing to before they sign.
Speed
Fast approvals and funding are important when people face urgent needs such as medical bills or car repairs. At Montana Capital®, we’ve designed a quick process, but never at the expense of compliance.
Every loan follows the requirements of the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and state lending laws, ensuring customers receive clear disclosures before signing. We also confirm ability to repay, so speed never means skipping the protections borrowers deserve.
Respect
Every customer matters, no matter their credit history. Many people believe bad credit means they won’t be treated fairly, but U.S. law protects borrowers.
The Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) requires lenders to evaluate applicants using fair, non-discriminatory standards. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) gives people the right to accurate credit reporting, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) ensures respectful treatment during repayment.
At Montana Capital®, we go beyond compliance by treating every applicant with dignity. Even when credit history is not perfect, we provide clear communication, fair evaluations, and equal opportunity for responsible borrowing.
Responsibility
At Montana Capital®, lending is based on the real ability to repay. Many people assume approval for a title loan depends only on the car, but the deciding factor is income and repayment capacity.
The Federal Ability-to-Repay (ATR) rule was created for mortgages under the Dodd-Frank Act. While it does not apply to title loans, we choose to follow the same principle as part of our values.
We approve loans only when income shows a borrower can meet the required payments, even with the high APR interest rates that come with title loans. By focusing on income, not just collateral, we help protect customers from unnecessary strain.
Security
We protect customer information with the highest standards of data security. Our systems use 256-bit SSL encryption and TLS protocols, the same protections trusted across the U.S. financial industry.
Our site, montanacapital.com, is also Certified Secure. TrustedSite actively monitors it for issues such as malware, malicious links, and phishing. No problems were detected in the most recent security check, giving customers added peace of mind. We also maintain clear Privacy, Text Message, and Terms and Conditions policies so customers always know how their information is collected, used, and protected.
Privacy
We give customers full control of their personal data. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), every customer has the right to know what information we collect, request deletion, or opt out of sharing. Requests can be submitted through our online form, and we respond within 10 days.
Beyond California, we follow nationwide best practices for privacy and data protection. Wherever our customers live, their personal information is handled with the same high standards of care and security.
